At Woodvale Primary Academy, we follow the Northamptonshire SACRE (Standing Advisory Councils for RE) RE Curriculum.
Over the course of their time at Woodvale Primary Academy, children will learn about Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism and we use collective worship as a key opportunity to discuss, share an celebrate our multi faith school.
We are proud to be part of a diverse community and the benefits that this brings. We recognise that religion and belief, for many people, forms a crucial part of their culture and identity. We ensure that children are taught key knowledge to ensure that they are equipped to talk about RE in a sensitive and respectful way.
We believe that RE contributes to spiritual, moral, social and cultural development (SMSC) of all children. RE provides us with opportunities to develop pupils learning and understanding of people they will meet, work and live alongside.
